I don't know about you, but it's has been a big hassle for me to transition from my street style to my office "serious" style but still with an edge!
It all depends on the work environment you are in, but let's be honest, it's a superficial world we live in, and everyone is judged by their physical appearance!
The thing is I want to keep my chunky necklaces, my red lips, and caviar nails at the office! In order to camouflage it into a professional look, here are the key pieces I usually throw on everymorning and small tips to still look and feel young!
- A blazer: the color and material don't matter, it just has to have some structure and should be comfortable enough to keep all day
- Pumps: these are the office must have! again they should be comfy or else keep a pair of flat shoes at the office :)
- White and Black shirts: very important on the less creative days, and are above all time basics!
- High waisted skirts and pants: ideal for a big meeting day! Gives you instant allure and confidence!
- Colored handbag: gives a young touch to every ensemble
- Fashionable glasses: i am loving my ray ban rayfryer!
- Make up: try to keep it as low key as possible, either make up the eyes or the lips, never both
- Pants: always keep a couple pairs of black pants handy, but invest in colored pieces too, with a neutral top and a blazer, it gives you just the right amount of style without it being too street style.
